2 Corinthians 4.0:

2 Corinthians 4.1: 4Therefore seeing we have this ministry, even as we obtained mercy, we don’t faint.

2 Corinthians 4.2: 2But we have renounced the hidden things of shame, not walking in craftiness, nor handling the word of God deceitfully, but by the manifestation of the truth commending ourselves to every man’s conscience in the sight of God.

2 Corinthians 4.3: 3Even if our Good News is veiled, it is veiled in those who are dying,

2 Corinthians 4.4: 4in whom the god of this world has blinded the minds of the unbelieving, that the light of the Good News of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God, should not dawn on them.

2 Corinthians 4.5: 5For we don’t preach ourselves, but Christ Jesus as Lord, and ourselves as your servants for Jesus’ sake,

2 Corinthians 4.6: 6seeing it is God who said, “Light will shine out of darkness,”a who has shone in our hearts to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.

2 Corinthians 4.7: 7But we have this treasure in clay vessels, that the exceeding greatness of the power may be of God, and not from ourselves.

2 Corinthians 4.8: 8We are pressed on every side, yet not crushed; perplexed, yet not to despair;

2 Corinthians 4.9: 9pursued, yet not forsaken; struck down, yet not destroyed;

2 Corinthians 4.10: 10always carrying in the body the putting to death of the Lord Jesus, that the life of Jesus may also be revealed in our body.

2 Corinthians 4.11: 11For we who live are always delivered to death for Jesus’ sake, that the life also of Jesus may be revealed in our mortal flesh.

2 Corinthians 4.12: 12So then death works in us, but life in you.

2 Corinthians 4.13: 13But having the same spirit of faith, according to that which is written, “I believed, and therefore I spoke.”b We also believe, and therefore we also speak;

2 Corinthians 4.14: 14knowing that he who raised the Lord Jesus will raise us also with Jesus, and will present us with you.

2 Corinthians 4.15: 15For all things are for your sakes, that the grace, being multiplied through the many, may cause the thanksgiving to abound to the glory of God.

2 Corinthians 4.16: 16Therefore we don’t faint, but though our outward man is decaying, yet our inward man is renewed day by day.

2 Corinthians 4.17: 17For our light affliction, which is for the moment, works for us more and more exceedingly an eternal weight of glory,

2 Corinthians 4.18: 18while we don’t look at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen. For the things which are seen are temporal, but the things which are not seen are eternal.

Wisdom of Solomon 9.0:

Wisdom of Solomon 9.1: 9“O God of the fathers, and Lord of mercy,

who made all things by your word;

Wisdom of Solomon 9.2: 2and by your wisdom you formed man,

that he should have dominion over the creatures that were made by you,

Wisdom of Solomon 9.3: 3and rule the world in holiness and righteousness,

and execute judgement in uprightness of soul;

Wisdom of Solomon 9.4: 4give me wisdom, her who sits by you on your thrones.

Don’t reject me from among your 1 servants,

Wisdom of Solomon 9.5: 5because I am your servant and the son of your handmaid,

a weak and short-lived man,

with little power to understand judgement and laws.

Wisdom of Solomon 9.6: 6For even if a man is perfect among the sons of men,

if the wisdom that comes from you is not with him, he will count for nothing.

Wisdom of Solomon 9.7: 7You chose me to be king of your people,

and a judge for your sons and daughters.

Wisdom of Solomon 9.8: 8You gave a command to build a sanctuary on your holy mountain,

and 2 an altar in the city where you pitch your tent,

a copy of the holy tent which you prepared from the beginning.

Wisdom of Solomon 9.9: 9Wisdom is with you and knows your works,

and was present when you were making the world,

and understands what is pleasing in your eyes,

and what is right according to your commandments.

Wisdom of Solomon 9.10: 10Send her from the holy heavens,

and ask her to come from the throne of your glory,

that being present with me she may work,

and I may learn what is pleases you well.

Wisdom of Solomon 9.11: 11For she knows all things and understands,

and she will guide me soberly in my actions.

She will guard me in her glory.

Wisdom of Solomon 9.12: 12So my works will be acceptible.

I will judge your people righteously,

and I will be worthy of my father’s 3 throne.

Wisdom of Solomon 9.13: 13For what man will know the counsel of God?

Or who will conceive what the Lord wills?

Wisdom of Solomon 9.14: 14For the thoughts of mortals are unstable,

and our plans are prone to fail.

Wisdom of Solomon 9.15: 15For a corruptible body weighs down the soul.

The earthy frame lies heavy on a mind that is full of cares.

Wisdom of Solomon 9.16: 16We can hardly guess the things that are on earth,

and we find the things that are close at hand with labor;

but who has traced out the things that are in the heavens?

Wisdom of Solomon 9.17: 17Who gained knowledge of your counsel, unless you gave wisdom,

and sent your holy spirit from the highest?

Wisdom of Solomon 9.18: 18It was thus that the ways of those who are on earth were corrected,

and men were taught the things that are pleasing to you.

They were saved through wisdom.”
