1 Samuel 12.0:
1 Samuel 12.1: 12Samuel said to all Israel, “Behold, I have listened to your voice in all that you said to me, and have made a king over you.
1 Samuel 12.2: 2 Now, behold, the king walks before you. I am old and gray-headed. Behold, my sons are with you. I have walked before you from my youth to this day.
1 Samuel 12.3: 3 Here I am. Witness against me before Yahweh, and before his anointed. Whose ox have I taken? Whose donkey have I taken? Whom have I defrauded? Whom have I oppressed? Of whose hand have I taken a bribe to make me blind my eyes? I will restore it to you.”
1 Samuel 12.4: 4 They said, “You have not defrauded us, nor oppressed us, neither have you taken anything from anyone’s hand.”
1 Samuel 12.5: 5 He said to them, “Yahweh is witness against you, and his anointed is witness today, that you have not found anything in my hand.”
They said, “He is witness.”
1 Samuel 12.6: 6 Samuel said to the people, “It is Yahweh who appointed Moses and Aaron, and that brought your fathers up out of the land of Egypt.
1 Samuel 12.7: 7 Now therefore stand still, that I may plead with you before Yahweh concerning all the righteous acts of Yahweh, which he did to you and to your fathers.
1 Samuel 12.8: 8 “When Jacob had come into Egypt, and your fathers cried to Yahweh, then Yahweh sent Moses and Aaron, who brought your fathers out of Egypt, and made them to dwell in this place.
1 Samuel 12.9: 9 “But they forgot Yahweh their God; and he sold them into the hand of Sisera, captain of the army of Hazor, and into the hand of the Philistines, and into the hand of the king of Moab; and they fought against them.
1 Samuel 12.10: 10 They cried to Yahweh, and said, ‘We have sinned, because we have forsaken Yahweh, and have served the Baals and the Ashtaroth: but now deliver us out of the hand of our enemies, and we will serve you.’
1 Samuel 12.11: 11 Yahweh sent Jerubbaal, Bedan, Jephthah, and Samuel, and delivered you out of the hand of your enemies on every side; and you lived in safety.
1 Samuel 12.12: 12 “When you saw that Nahash the king of the children of Ammon came against you, you said to me, ‘No, but a king shall reign over us;’ when Yahweh your God was your king.
1 Samuel 12.13: 13 Now therefore see the king whom you have chosen, and whom you have asked for. Behold, Yahweh has set a king over you.
1 Samuel 12.14: 14 If you will fear Yahweh, and serve him, and listen to his voice, and not rebel against the commandment of Yahweh, then both you and also the king who reigns over you are followers of Yahweh your God.
1 Samuel 12.15: 15 But if you will not listen to Yahweh’s voice, but rebel against the commandment of Yahweh, then Yahweh’s hand will be against you, as it was against your fathers.
1 Samuel 12.16: 16 “Now therefore stand still and see this great thing, which Yahweh will do before your eyes.
1 Samuel 12.17: 17 Isn’t it wheat harvest today? I will call to Yahweh, that he may send thunder and rain; and you will know and see that your wickedness is great, which you have done in Yahweh’s sight, in asking for a king.”
1 Samuel 12.18: 18 So Samuel called to Yahweh; and Yahweh sent thunder and rain that day. Then all the people greatly feared Yahweh and Samuel.
1 Samuel 12.19: 19 All the people said to Samuel, “Pray for your servants to Yahweh your God, that we not die; for we have added to all our sins this evil, to ask for a king.”
1 Samuel 12.20: 20 Samuel said to the people, “Don’t be afraid. You have indeed done all this evil; yet don’t turn away from following Yahweh, but serve Yahweh with all your heart.
1 Samuel 12.21: 21 Don’t turn away to go after vain things which can’t profit or deliver, for they are vain.
1 Samuel 12.22: 22 For Yahweh will not forsake his people for his great name’s sake, because it has pleased Yahweh to make you a people for himself.
1 Samuel 12.23: 23 Moreover as for me, far be it from me that I should sin against Yahweh in ceasing to pray for you: but I will instruct you in the good and the right way.
1 Samuel 12.24: 24 Only fear Yahweh, and serve him in truth with all your heart; for consider what great things he has done for you.
1 Samuel 12.25: 25 But if you keep doing evil, you will be consumed, both you and your king.”
Song of Solomon 7.0:
Song of Solomon 7.1: 7How beautiful are your feet in sandals, prince’s daughter!
Your rounded thighs are like jewels,
the work of the hands of a skillful workman.
Song of Solomon 7.2: 2 Your body is like a round goblet,
no mixed wine is wanting.
Your waist is like a heap of wheat,
set about with lilies.
Song of Solomon 7.3: 3 Your two breasts are like two fawns,
that are twins of a roe.
Song of Solomon 7.4: 4 Your neck is like an ivory tower.
Your eyes are like the pools in Heshbon by the gate of Bathrabbim.
Your nose is like the tower of Lebanon which looks toward Damascus.
Song of Solomon 7.5: 5 Your head on you is like Carmel.
The hair of your head like purple.
The king is held captive in its tresses.
Song of Solomon 7.6: 6 How beautiful and how pleasant you are,
love, for delights!
Song of Solomon 7.7: 7 This, your stature, is like a palm tree,
your breasts like its fruit.
Song of Solomon 7.8: 8 I said, “I will climb up into the palm tree.
I will take hold of its fruit.”
Let your breasts be like clusters of the vine,
the smell of your breath like apples.
Song of Solomon 7.9: 9 Your mouth is like the best wine,
that goes down smoothly for my beloved,
gliding through the lips of those who are asleep.
Beloved
Song of Solomon 7.10: 10 I am my beloved’s.
His desire is toward me.
Song of Solomon 7.11: 11 Come, my beloved! Let’s go out into the field.
Let’s lodge in the villages.
Song of Solomon 7.12: 12 Let’s go early up to the vineyards.
Let’s see whether the vine has budded,
its blossom is open,
and the pomegranates are in flower.
There I will give you my love.
Song of Solomon 7.13: 13 The mandrakes produce fragrance.
At our doors are all kinds of precious fruits, new and old,
which I have stored up for you, my beloved.
Hebrews 7.0:
Hebrews 7.1: 7For this Melchizedek, king of Salem, priest of God Most High, who met Abraham returning from the slaughter of the kings and blessed him,
Hebrews 7.2: 2 to whom also Abraham divided a tenth part of all (being first, by interpretation, “king of righteousness”, and then also “king of Salem”, which means “king of peace”,
Hebrews 7.3: 3 without father, without mother, without genealogy, having neither beginning of days nor end of life, but made like the Son of God), remains a priest continually.
Hebrews 7.4: 4 Now consider how great this man was, to whom even Abraham, the patriarch, gave a tenth out of the best plunder.
Hebrews 7.5: 5 They indeed of the sons of Levi who receive the priest’s office have a commandment to take tithes of the people according to the law, that is, of their brothers, though these have come out of the body of Abraham,
Hebrews 7.6: 6 but he whose genealogy is not counted from them has accepted tithes from Abraham, and has blessed him who has the promises.
Hebrews 7.7: 7 But without any dispute the lesser is blessed by the greater.
Hebrews 7.8: 8 Here people who die receive tithes, but there one receives tithes of whom it is testified that he lives.
Hebrews 7.9: 9 We can say that through Abraham even Levi, who receives tithes, has paid tithes,
Hebrews 7.10: 10 for he was yet in the body of his father when Melchizedek met him.
Hebrews 7.11: 11 Now if perfection was through the Levitical priesthood (for under it the people have received the law), what further need was there for another priest to arise after the order of Melchizedek, and not be called after the order of Aaron?
Hebrews 7.12: 12 For the priesthood being changed, there is of necessity a change made also in the law.
Hebrews 7.13: 13 For he of whom these things are said belongs to another tribe, from which no one has officiated at the altar.
Hebrews 7.14: 14 For it is evident that our Lord has sprung out of Judah, about which tribe Moses spoke nothing concerning priesthood.
Hebrews 7.15: 15 This is yet more abundantly evident, if after the likeness of Melchizedek there arises another priest,
Hebrews 7.16: 16 who has been made, not after the law of a fleshly commandment, but after the power of an endless life;
Hebrews 7.17: 17 for it is testified,
“You are a priest forever,
according to the order of Melchizedek.”a
Hebrews 7.18: 18 For there is an annulling of a foregoing commandment because of its weakness and uselessness
Hebrews 7.19: 19 (for the law made nothing perfect), and a bringing in of a better hope, through which we draw near to God.
Hebrews 7.20: 20 Inasmuch as he was not made priest without the taking of an oath
Hebrews 7.21: 21 (for they indeed have been made priests without an oath), but he with an oath by him that says of him,
“The Lord swore and will not change his mind,
‘You are a priest forever,
according to the order of Melchizedek.’”b
Hebrews 7.22: 22 By so much, Jesus has become the collateral of a better covenant.
Hebrews 7.23: 23 Many, indeed, have been made priests, because they are hindered from continuing by death.
Hebrews 7.24: 24 But he, because he lives forever, has his priesthood unchangeable.
Hebrews 7.25: 25 Therefore he is also able to save to the uttermost those who draw near to God through him, seeing that he lives forever to make intercession for them.
Hebrews 7.26: 26 For such a high priest was fitting for us: holy, guiltless, undefiled, separated from sinners, and made higher than the heavens;
Hebrews 7.27: 27 who doesn’t need, like those high priests, to offer up sacrifices daily, first for his own sins, and then for the sins of the people. For he did this once for all, when he offered up himself.
Hebrews 7.28: 28 For the law appoints men as high priests who have weakness, but the word of the oath which came after the law appoints a Son forever who has been perfected.
