Exodus 12.2: 2 “This month shall be to you the beginning of months. It shall be the first month of the year to you.
Exodus 12.3: 3 Speak to all the congregation of Israel, saying, ‘On the tenth day of this month, they shall take to them every man a lamb, according to their fathers’ houses, a lamb for a household;
Exodus 12.4: 4 and if the household is too little for a lamb, then he and his neighbor next to his house shall take one according to the number of the souls. You shall make your count for the lamb according to what everyone can eat.
Exodus 12.5: 5 Your lamb shall be without defect, a male a year old. You shall take it from the sheep, or from the goats.
Exodus 12.6: 6 You shall keep it until the fourteenth day of the same month; and the whole assembly of the congregation of Israel shall kill it at evening.
Exodus 12.7: 7 They shall take some of the blood, and put it on the two door posts and on the lintel, on the houses in which they shall eat it.
Exodus 12.8: 8 They shall eat the meat in that night, roasted with fire, and unleavened bread. They shall eat it with bitter herbs.
Exodus 12.9: 9 Don’t eat it raw, nor boiled at all with water, but roasted with fire; with its head, its legs and its inner parts.
Exodus 12.10: 10 You shall let nothing of it remain until the morning; but that which remains of it until the morning you shall burn with fire.
Exodus 12.11: 11 This is how you shall eat it: with your belt on your waist, your sandals on your feet, and your staff in your hand; and you shall eat it in haste: it is Yahweh’s Passover.
Exodus 12.12: 12 For I will go through the land of Egypt in that night, and will strike all the firstborn in the land of Egypt, both man and animal. I will execute judgments against all the gods of Egypt. I am Yahweh.
Exodus 12.13: 13 The blood shall be to you for a token on the houses where you are. When I see the blood, I will pass over you, and no plague will be on you to destroy you when I strike the land of Egypt.
Exodus 12.14: 14 This day shall be a memorial for you. You shall keep it as a feast to Yahweh. You shall keep it as a feast throughout your generations by an ordinance forever.
Exodus 12.15: 15 “‘Seven days you shall eat unleavened bread; even the first day you shall put away yeast out of your houses, for whoever eats leavened bread from the first day until the seventh day, that soul shall be cut off from Israel.
Exodus 12.16: 16 In the first day there shall be to you a holy convocation, and in the seventh day a holy convocation; no kind of work shall be done in them, except that which every man must eat, only that may be done by you.
Exodus 12.17: 17 You shall observe the feast of unleavened bread; for in this same day I have brought your armies out of the land of Egypt. Therefore you shall observe this day throughout your generations by an ordinance forever.
Exodus 12.18: 18 In the first month, on the fourteenth day of the month at evening, you shall eat unleavened bread, until the twenty first day of the month at evening.
Exodus 12.19: 19 There shall be no yeast found in your houses for seven days, for whoever eats that which is leavened, that soul shall be cut off from the congregation of Israel, whether he is a foreigner, or one who is born in the land.
Exodus 12.20: 20 You shall eat nothing leavened. In all your habitations you shall eat unleavened bread.’”
Exodus 12.21: 21 Then Moses called for all the elders of Israel, and said to them, “Draw out, and take lambs according to your families, and kill the Passover.
Exodus 12.22: 22 You shall take a bunch of hyssop, and dip it in the blood that is in the basin, and strike the lintel and the two door posts with the blood that is in the basin. None of you shall go out of the door of his house until the morning.
Exodus 12.23: 23 For Yahweh will pass through to strike the Egyptians; and when he sees the blood on the lintel, and on the two door posts, Yahweh will pass over the door, and will not allow the destroyer to come in to your houses to strike you.
Exodus 12.24: 24 You shall observe this thing for an ordinance to you and to your sons forever.
Exodus 12.25: 25 It shall happen when you have come to the land which Yahweh will give you, as he has promised, that you shall keep this service.
Exodus 12.26: 26 It will happen, when your children ask you, ‘What do you mean by this service?’
Exodus 12.27: 27 that you shall say, ‘It is the sacrifice of Yahweh’s Passover, who passed over the houses of the children of Israel in Egypt, when he struck the Egyptians, and spared our houses.’”
The people bowed their heads and worshiped.
Exodus 12.28: 28 The children of Israel went and did so; as Yahweh had commanded Moses and Aaron, so they did.
Exodus 12.29: 29 At midnight, Yahweh struck all the firstborn in the land of Egypt, from the firstborn of Pharaoh who sat on his throne to the firstborn of the captive who was in the dungeon, and all the firstborn of livestock.

Exodus 12.36: 36 Yahweh gave the people favor in the sight of the Egyptians, so that they let them have what they asked. They plundered the Egyptians.
Exodus 12.37: 37 The children of Israel traveled from Rameses to Succoth, about six hundred thousand on foot who were men, in addition to children.
Exodus 12.38: 38 A mixed multitude went up also with them, with flocks, herds, and even very much livestock.
Exodus 12.39: 39 They baked unleavened cakes of the dough which they brought out of Egypt; for it wasn’t leavened, because they were thrust out of Egypt, and couldn’t wait, and they had not prepared any food for themselves.

Exodus 12.45: 45 A foreigner and a hired servant shall not eat of it.
Exodus 12.46: 46 It must be eaten in one house. You shall not carry any of the meat outside of the house. Do not break any of its bones.
Exodus 12.47: 47 All the congregation of Israel shall keep it.
Exodus 12.48: 48 When a stranger lives as a foreigner with you, and would like to keep the Passover to Yahweh, let all his males be circumcised, and then let him come near and keep it. He shall be as one who is born in the land; but no uncircumcised person shall eat of it.
Exodus 12.49: 49 One law shall be to him who is born at home, and to the stranger who lives as a foreigner among you.”

Leviticus 17.11: 11 For the life of the flesh is in the blood. I have given it to you on the altar to make atonement for your souls; for it is the blood that makes atonement by reason of the life.
Leviticus 17.12: 12 Therefore I have said to the children of Israel, “No person among you may eat blood, nor may any stranger who lives as a foreigner among you eat blood.”
Leviticus 17.13: 13 “‘Whatever man there is of the children of Israel, or of the strangers who live as foreigners among them, who takes in hunting any animal or bird that may be eaten, he shall pour out its blood, and cover it with dust.
Leviticus 17.14: 14 For as to the life of all flesh, its blood is with its life. Therefore I said to the children of Israel, “You shall not eat the blood of any kind of flesh; for the life of all flesh is its blood. Whoever eats it shall be cut off.”
Leviticus 17.15: 15 “‘Every person that eats what dies of itself, or that which is torn by animals, whether he is native-born or a foreigner, shall wash his clothes, and bathe himself in water, and be unclean until the evening. Then he shall be clean.

Leviticus 19.7: 7 If it is eaten at all on the third day, it is an abomination. It will not be accepted;

Joshua 4.17: 17 Joshua therefore commanded the priests, saying, “Come up out of the Jordan!”
Joshua 4.18: 18 When the priests who bore the ark of Yahweh’s covenant had come up out of the middle of the Jordan, and the soles of the priests’ feet had been lifted up to the dry ground, the waters of the Jordan returned to their place, and went over all its banks, as before.
Joshua 4.19: 19 The people came up out of the Jordan on the tenth day of the first month, and encamped in Gilgal, on the east border of Jericho.
Joshua 4.20: 20 Joshua set up those twelve stones, which they took out of the Jordan, in Gilgal.
Joshua 4.21: 21 He spoke to the children of Israel, saying, “When your children ask their fathers in time to come, saying, ‘What do these stones mean?’
Joshua 4.22: 22 Then you shall let your children know, saying, ‘Israel came over this Jordan on dry land.
Joshua 4.23: 23 For Yahweh your God dried up the waters of the Jordan from before you until you had crossed over, as Yahweh your God did to the Red Sea, which he dried up from before us, until we had crossed over,
Joshua 4.24: 24 that all the peoples of the earth may know that Yahweh’s hand is mighty, and that you may fear Yahweh your God forever.’”

2 Chronicles 2.0:
2 Chronicles 2.1: 2Now Solomon decided to build a house for Yahweh’s name, and a house for his kingdom.
2 Chronicles 2.2: 2 Solomon counted out seventy thousand men to bear burdens, eighty thousand men who were stone cutters in the mountains, and three thousand six hundred to oversee them.
2 Chronicles 2.3: 3 Solomon sent to Huram the king of Tyre, saying, “As you dealt with David my father, and sent him cedars to build him a house in which to dwell, so deal with me.
2 Chronicles 2.4: 4 Behold,1 I am about to build a house for the name of Yahweh my God, to dedicate it to him, to burn before him incense of sweet spices, for the continual show bread, and for the burnt offerings morning and evening, on the Sabbaths, on the new moons, and on the set feasts of Yahweh our God. This is an ordinance forever to Israel.
2 Chronicles 2.5: 5 “The house which I am building will be great; for our God is greater than all gods.
2 Chronicles 2.6: 6 But who is able to build him a house, since heaven and the heaven of heavens can’t contain him? Who am I then, that I should build him a house, except just to burn incense before him?
2 Chronicles 2.7: 7 “Now therefore send me a man skillful to work in gold, in silver, in bronze, in iron, and in purple, crimson, and blue, and who knows how to engrave engravings, to be with the skillful men who are with me in Judah and in Jerusalem, whom David my father provided.
2 Chronicles 2.8: 8 “Send me also cedar trees, cypress trees, and algum trees out of Lebanon; for I know that your servants know how to cut timber in Lebanon. Behold, my servants will be with your servants,
2 Chronicles 2.9: 9 even to prepare me timber in abundance; for the house which I am about to build will be great and wonderful.
2 Chronicles 2.10: 10 Behold, I will give to your servants, the cutters who cut timber, twenty thousand cors2 of beaten wheat, twenty thousand baths3 of barley, twenty thousand baths of wine, and twenty thousand baths of oil.”
2 Chronicles 2.11: 11 Then Huram the king of Tyre answered in writing, which he sent to Solomon, “Because Yahweh loves his people, he has made you king over them.”
2 Chronicles 2.12: 12 Huram continued, “Blessed be Yahweh, the God of Israel, who made heaven and earth, who has given to David the king a wise son, endowed with discretion and understanding, who would build a house for Yahweh, and a house for his kingdom.
2 Chronicles 2.13: 13 Now I have sent a skillful man, endowed with understanding, of Huram my father’s,
2 Chronicles 2.14: 14 the son of a woman of the daughters of Dan; and his father was a man of Tyre, skillful to work in gold, in silver, in bronze, in iron, in stone, in timber, and in purple, in blue, in fine linen, and in crimson, also to engrave any kind of engraving and to devise any device; that there may be a place appointed to him with your skillful men, and with the skillful men of my lord David your father.
2 Chronicles 2.15: 15 “Now therefore the wheat, the barley, the oil, and the wine, which my lord has spoken of, let him send to his servants;
2 Chronicles 2.16: 16 and we will cut wood out of Lebanon, as much as you need. We will bring it to you in rafts by sea to Joppa; then you shall carry it up to Jerusalem.”
2 Chronicles 2.17: 17 Solomon counted all the foreigners who were in the land of Israel, after the census with which David his father had counted them; and they found one hundred fifty-three thousand six hundred.
2 Chronicles 2.18: 18 He set seventy thousand of them to bear burdens, eighty thousand who were stone cutters in the mountains, and three thousand six hundred overseers to assign the people their work.
Ezra 3.0:
Ezra 3.1: 3When the seventh month had come, and the children of Israel were in the cities, the people gathered themselves together as one man to Jerusalem.
Ezra 3.2: 2 Then Jeshua the son of Jozadak stood up with his brothers the priests, and Zerubbabel the son of Shealtiel and his brothers, and built the altar of the God of Israel, to offer burnt offerings on it, as it is written in the law of Moses the man of God.
Ezra 3.3: 3 In spite of their fear because of the peoples of the surrounding lands, they set the altar on its base; and they offered burnt offerings on it to Yahweh, even burnt offerings morning and evening.
Ezra 3.4: 4 They kept the feast of booths, as it is written, and offered the daily burnt offerings by number, according to the ordinance, as the duty of every day required;
Ezra 3.5: 5 and afterward the continual burnt offering, the offerings of the new moons, of all the set feasts of Yahweh that were consecrated, and of everyone who willingly offered a free will offering to Yahweh.
Ezra 3.6: 6 From the first day of the seventh month, they began to offer burnt offerings to Yahweh; but the foundation of Yahweh’s temple was not yet laid.
Ezra 3.7: 7 They also gave money to the masons, and to the carpenters. They also gave food, drink, and oil to the people of Sidon and Tyre, to bring cedar trees from Lebanon to the sea, to Joppa, according to the grant that they had from Cyrus King of Persia.
Ezra 3.8: 8 Now in the second year of their coming to God’s house at Jerusalem, in the second month, Zerubbabel the son of Shealtiel, and Jeshua the son of Jozadak, and the rest of their brothers the priests and the Levites, and all those who had come out of the captivity to Jerusalem, began the work and appointed the Levites, from twenty years old and upward, to have the oversight of the work of Yahweh’s house.
Ezra 3.9: 9 Then Jeshua stood with his sons and his brothers, Kadmiel and his sons, the sons of Judah, together, to have the oversight of the workmen in God’s house: the sons of Henadad, with their sons and their brothers the Levites.
Ezra 3.10: 10 When the builders laid the foundation of Yahweh’s temple, they set the priests in their clothing with trumpets, with the Levites the sons of Asaph with cymbals, to praise Yahweh, according to the directions of David king of Israel.
Ezra 3.11: 11 They sang to one another in praising and giving thanks to Yahweh, “For he is good, for his loving kindness endures forever toward Israel.” All the people shouted with a great shout, when they praised Yahweh, because the foundation of Yahweh’s house had been laid.
Ezra 3.12: 12 But many of the priests and Levites and heads of fathers’ households, the old men who had seen the first house, when the foundation of this house was laid before their eyes, wept with a loud voice. Many also shouted aloud for joy,
Ezra 3.13: 13 so that the people could not discern the noise of the shout of joy from the noise of the weeping of the people; for the people shouted with a loud shout, and the noise was heard far away.
Esther 2.0:
Esther 2.1: 2After these things, when the wrath of King Ahasuerus was pacified, he remembered Vashti, and what she had done, and what was decreed against her.
Esther 2.2: 2 Then the king’s servants who served him said, “Let beautiful young virgins be sought for the king.
Esther 2.3: 3 Let the king appoint officers in all the provinces of his kingdom, that they may gather together all the beautiful young virgins to the citadel of Susa, to the women’s house, to the custody of Hegai the king’s eunuch, keeper of the women. Let cosmetics be given them;
Esther 2.4: 4 and let the maiden who pleases the king be queen instead of Vashti.” The thing pleased the king, and he did so.
Esther 2.5: 5 There was a certain Jew in the citadel of Susa, whose name was Mordecai, the son of Jair, the son of Shimei, the son of Kish, a Benjamite,
Esther 2.6: 6 who had been carried away from Jerusalem with the captives who had been carried away with Jeconiah king of Judah, whom Nebuchadnezzar the king of Babylon had carried away.
Esther 2.7: 7 He brought up Hadassah, that is, Esther, his uncle’s daughter; for she had neither father nor mother. The maiden was fair and beautiful; and when her father and mother were dead, Mordecai took her for his own daughter.
Esther 2.8: 8 So, when the king’s commandment and his decree was heard, and when many maidens were gathered together to the citadel of Susa, to the custody of Hegai, Esther was taken into the king’s house, to the custody of Hegai, keeper of the women.
Esther 2.9: 9 The maiden pleased him, and she obtained kindness from him. He quickly gave her cosmetics and her portions of food, and the seven choice maidens who were to be given her out of the king’s house. He moved her and her maidens to the best place in the women’s house.
Esther 2.10: 10 Esther had not made known her people nor her relatives, because Mordecai had instructed her that she should not make it known.
Esther 2.11: 11 Mordecai walked every day in front of the court of the women’s house, to find out how Esther was doing, and what would become of her.
Esther 2.12: 12 Each young woman’s turn came to go in to King Ahasuerus after her purification for twelve months (for so were the days of their purification accomplished, six months with oil of myrrh, and six months with sweet fragrances and with preparations for beautifying women).
Esther 2.13: 13 The young woman then came to the king like this: whatever she desired was given her to go with her out of the women’s house to the king’s house.
Esther 2.14: 14 In the evening she went, and on the next day she returned into the second women’s house, to the custody of Shaashgaz, the king’s eunuch, who kept the concubines. She came in to the king no more, unless the king delighted in her, and she was called by name.
Esther 2.15: 15 Now when the turn of Esther, the daughter of Abihail the uncle of Mordecai, who had taken her for his daughter, came to go in to the king, she required nothing but what Hegai the king’s eunuch, the keeper of the women, advised. Esther obtained favor in the sight of all those who looked at her.
Esther 2.16: 16 So Esther was taken to King Ahasuerus into his royal house in the tenth month, which is the month Tebeth, in the seventh year of his reign.
Esther 2.17: 17 The king loved Esther more than all the women, and she obtained favor and kindness in his sight more than all the virgins; so that he set the royal crown on her head, and made her queen instead of Vashti.
Esther 2.18: 18 Then the king made a great feast for all his princes and his servants, even Esther’s feast; and he proclaimed a holiday in the provinces, and gave gifts according to the king’s bounty.
Esther 2.19: 19 When the virgins were gathered together the second time, Mordecai was sitting in the king’s gate.
Esther 2.20: 20 Esther had not yet made known her relatives nor her people, as Mordecai had commanded her; for Esther obeyed Mordecai, like she did when she was brought up by him.
Esther 2.21: 21 In those days, while Mordecai was sitting in the king’s gate, two of the king’s eunuchs, Bigthan and Teresh, who were doorkeepers, were angry, and sought to lay hands on the King Ahasuerus.
Esther 2.22: 22 This thing became known to Mordecai, who informed Esther the queen; and Esther informed the king in Mordecai’s name.
Esther 2.23: 23 When this matter was investigated, and it was found to be so, they were both hanged on a gallows; and it was written in the book of the chronicles in the king’s presence.
Job 33.0:

and listen to all my words.

My tongue has spoken in my mouth.

That which my lips know they will speak sincerely.
Job 33.4: 4 The Spirit of God has made me,
and the breath of the Almighty gives me life.

I am also formed out of the clay.
Job 33.7: 7 Behold, my terror will not make you afraid,
neither will my pressure be heavy on you.

I have heard the voice of your words, saying,
Job 33.9: 9 ‘I am clean, without disobedience.
I am innocent, neither is there iniquity in me.
Job 33.10: 10 Behold, he finds occasions against me.
He counts me for his enemy.
Job 33.11: 11 He puts my feet in the stocks.
He marks all my paths.’
Job 33.12: 12 “Behold, I will answer you. In this you are not just,
for God is greater than man.
Job 33.13: 13 Why do you strive against him,
because he doesn’t give account of any of his matters?
Job 33.14: 14 For God speaks once,
yes twice, though man pays no attention.
Job 33.15: 15 In a dream, in a vision of the night,
when deep sleep falls on men,
in slumbering on the bed;
Job 33.16: 16 Then he opens the ears of men,
and seals their instruction,
Job 33.17: 17 that he may withdraw man from his purpose,
and hide pride from man.
Job 33.18: 18 He keeps back his soul from the pit,
and his life from perishing by the sword.
Job 33.19: 19 He is chastened also with pain on his bed,
with continual strife in his bones,
Job 33.20: 20 so that his life abhors bread,
and his soul dainty food.
Job 33.21: 21 His flesh is so consumed away that it can’t be seen.
His bones that were not seen stick out.
Job 33.22: 22 Yes, his soul draws near to the pit,
and his life to the destroyers.
Job 33.23: 23 “If there is beside him an angel,
an interpreter, one among a thousand,
to show to man what is right for him;
Job 33.24: 24 then God is gracious to him, and says,
‘Deliver him from going down to the pit,
I have found a ransom.’
Job 33.25: 25 His flesh will be fresher than a child’s.
He returns to the days of his youth.
Job 33.26: 26 He prays to God, and he is favorable to him,
so that he sees his face with joy.
He restores to man his righteousness.
Job 33.27: 27 He sings before men, and says,
‘I have sinned, and perverted that which was right,
and it didn’t profit me.
Job 33.28: 28 He has redeemed my soul from going into the pit.
My life will see the light.’
Job 33.29: 29 “Behold, God does all these things,
twice, yes three times, with a man,
Job 33.30: 30 to bring back his soul from the pit,
that he may be enlightened with the light of the living.
Job 33.31: 31 Mark well, Job, and listen to me.
Hold your peace, and I will speak.
Job 33.32: 32 If you have anything to say, answer me.
Speak, for I desire to justify you.
Job 33.33: 33 If not, listen to me.
Hold your peace, and I will teach you wisdom.”
Job 38.0:
Job 38.1: 38Then Yahweh answered Job out of the whirlwind,
Job 38.2: 2 “Who is this who darkens counsel
by words without knowledge?
Job 38.3: 3 Brace yourself like a man,
for I will question you, then you answer me!
Job 38.4: 4 “Where were you when I laid the foundations of the earth?
Declare, if you have understanding.
Job 38.5: 5 Who determined its measures, if you know?
Or who stretched the line on it?
Job 38.6: 6 What were its foundations fastened on?
Or who laid its cornerstone,
Job 38.7: 7 when the morning stars sang together,
and all the sons of God shouted for joy?
Job 38.8: 8 “Or who shut up the sea with doors,
when it broke out of the womb,
Job 38.9: 9 when I made clouds its garment,
and wrapped it in thick darkness,
Job 38.10: 10 marked out for it my bound,
set bars and doors,
Job 38.11: 11 and said, ‘You may come here, but no further.
Your proud waves shall be stopped here?’
Job 38.12: 12 “Have you commanded the morning in your days,
and caused the dawn to know its place,
Job 38.13: 13 that it might take hold of the ends of the earth,
and shake the wicked out of it?
Job 38.14: 14 It is changed as clay under the seal,
and presented as a garment.
Job 38.15: 15 From the wicked, their light is withheld.
The high arm is broken.
Job 38.16: 16 “Have you entered into the springs of the sea?
Or have you walked in the recesses of the deep?
Job 38.17: 17 Have the gates of death been revealed to you?
Or have you seen the gates of the shadow of death?
Job 38.18: 18 Have you comprehended the earth in its width?
Declare, if you know it all.
Job 38.19: 19 “What is the way to the dwelling of light?
As for darkness, where is its place,
Job 38.20: 20 that you should take it to its bound,
that you should discern the paths to its house?
Job 38.21: 21 Surely you know, for you were born then,
and the number of your days is great!
Job 38.22: 22 Have you entered the treasuries of the snow,
or have you seen the treasures of the hail,
Job 38.23: 23 which I have reserved against the time of trouble,
against the day of battle and war?
Job 38.24: 24 By what way is the lightning distributed,
or the east wind scattered on the earth?
Job 38.25: 25 Who has cut a channel for the flood water,
or the path for the thunder storm,
Job 38.26: 26 to cause it to rain on a land where there is no man,
on the wilderness, in which there is no man,
Job 38.27: 27 to satisfy the waste and desolate ground,
to cause the tender grass to grow?
Job 38.28: 28 Does the rain have a father?
Or who fathers the drops of dew?
Job 38.29: 29 Whose womb did the ice come out of?
Who has given birth to the gray frost of the sky?
Job 38.30: 30 The waters become hard like stone,
when the surface of the deep is frozen.
Job 38.31: 31 “Can you bind the cluster of the Pleiades,
or loosen the cords of Orion?
Job 38.32: 32 Can you lead the constellations out in their season?
Or can you guide the Bear with her cubs?
Job 38.33: 33 Do you know the laws of the heavens?
Can you establish its dominion over the earth?
Job 38.34: 34 “Can you lift up your voice to the clouds,
That abundance of waters may cover you?
Job 38.35: 35 Can you send out lightnings, that they may go?
Do they report to you, ‘Here we are?’
Job 38.36: 36 Who has put wisdom in the inward parts?
Or who has given understanding to the mind?
Job 38.37: 37 Who can count the clouds by wisdom?
Or who can pour out the containers of the sky,
Job 38.38: 38 when the dust runs into a mass,
and the clods of earth stick together?
Job 38.39: 39 “Can you hunt the prey for the lioness,
or satisfy the appetite of the young lions,
Job 38.40: 40 when they crouch in their dens,
and lie in wait in the thicket?
Job 38.41: 41 Who provides for the raven his prey,
when his young ones cry to God,
and wander for lack of food?

Jeremiah 2.0:
Jeremiah 2.1: 2Yahweh’s word came to me, saying,
Jeremiah 2.2: 2 “Go and proclaim in the ears of Jerusalem, saying, ‘Yahweh says,
“I remember for you the kindness of your youth,
the love of your weddings;
how you went after me in the wilderness,
in a land that was not sown.
Jeremiah 2.3: 3 Israel was holiness to Yahweh,
the first fruits of his increase.
All who devour him will be held guilty.
Evil will come on them,”’ says Yahweh.”
Jeremiah 2.4: 4 Hear Yahweh’s word, O house of Jacob, and all the families of the house of Israel!
Jeremiah 2.5: 5 Yahweh says,
“What unrighteousness have your fathers found in me,
that they have gone far from me,
and have walked after worthless vanity,
and have become worthless?
Jeremiah 2.6: 6 They didn’t say, ‘Where is Yahweh who brought us up out of the land of Egypt,
who led us through the wilderness,
through a land of deserts and of pits,
through a land of drought and of the shadow of death,
through a land that no one passed through,
and where no man lived?’
Jeremiah 2.7: 7 I brought you into a plentiful land
to eat its fruit and its goodness;
but when you entered, you defiled my land,
and made my heritage an abomination.
Jeremiah 2.8: 8 The priests didn’t say, ‘Where is Yahweh?’
and those who handle the law didn’t know me.
The rulers also transgressed against me,
and the prophets prophesied by Baal
and followed things that do not profit.
Jeremiah 2.9: 9 “Therefore I will yet contend with you,” says Yahweh,
“and I will contend with your children’s children.
Jeremiah 2.10: 10 For pass over to the islands of Kittim, and see.
Send to Kedar, and consider diligently,
and see if there has been such a thing.
Jeremiah 2.11: 11 Has a nation changed its gods,
which really are no gods?
But my people have changed their glory for that which doesn’t profit.
Jeremiah 2.12: 12 “Be astonished, you heavens, at this
and be horribly afraid.
Be very desolate,” says Yahweh.
Jeremiah 2.13: 13 “For my people have committed two evils:
they have forsaken me, the spring of living waters,
and cut out cisterns for themselves: broken cisterns that can’t hold water.
Jeremiah 2.14: 14 Is Israel a slave?
Is he born into slavery?
Why has he become a captive?
Jeremiah 2.15: 15 The young lions have roared at him and yelled.
They have made his land waste.
His cities are burned up, without inhabitant.
Jeremiah 2.16: 16 The children also of Memphis and Tahpanhes have broken the crown of your head.
Jeremiah 2.17: 17 “Haven’t you brought this on yourself,
in that you have forsaken Yahweh your God,1 when he led you by the way?
Jeremiah 2.18: 18 Now what do you gain by going to Egypt, to drink the waters of the Shihor?
Or why do you to go on the way to Assyria, to drink the waters of the River?2
Jeremiah 2.19: 19 “Your own wickedness will correct you,
and your backsliding will rebuke you.
Know therefore and see that it is an evil and bitter thing,
that you have forsaken Yahweh your God,
and that my fear is not in you,” says the Lord, Yahweh of Armies.
Jeremiah 2.20: 20 “For long ago I broke off your yoke,
and burst your bonds.
You said, ‘I will not serve;’
for on every high hill and under every green tree you bowed yourself,
playing the prostitute.
Jeremiah 2.21: 21 Yet I had planted you a noble vine,
a pure and faithful seed.
How then have you turned into the degenerate branches of a foreign vine to me?
Jeremiah 2.22: 22 For though you wash yourself with lye,
and use much soap,
yet your iniquity is marked before me,” says the Lord Yahweh.
Jeremiah 2.23: 23 “How can you say, ‘I am not defiled.
I have not gone after the Baals’?
See your way in the valley.
Know what you have done.
You are a swift dromedary traversing her ways,
Jeremiah 2.24: 24 a wild donkey used to the wilderness, that sniffs the wind in her craving.
When she is in heat, who can turn her away?
All those who seek her will not weary themselves. In her month, they will find her.
Jeremiah 2.25: 25 “Keep your feet from being bare,
and your throat from thirst.
But you said, ‘It is in vain.
No, for I have loved strangers,
and I will go after them.’
Jeremiah 2.26: 26 As the thief is ashamed when he is found,
so the house of Israel is ashamed:
they, their kings, their princes, their priests, and their prophets,
Jeremiah 2.27: 27 who tell wood, ‘You are my father,’
and a stone, ‘You have given birth to me,’
for they have turned their back to me,
and not their face;
but in the time of their trouble they will say, ‘Arise, and save us!’
Jeremiah 2.28: 28 “But where are your gods that you have made for yourselves?
Let them arise, if they can save you in the time of your trouble;
for you have as many gods as you have towns, O Judah.
Jeremiah 2.29: 29 “Why will you contend with me?
You all have transgressed against me,” says Yahweh.
Jeremiah 2.30: 30 “I have struck your children in vain.
They received no correction.
Your own sword has devoured your prophets,
like a destroying lion.
Jeremiah 2.31: 31 Generation, consider Yahweh’s word.
Have I been a wilderness to Israel?
Or a land of thick darkness?
Why do my people say, ‘We have broken loose.
We will come to you no more?’
Jeremiah 2.32: 32 “Can a virgin forget her ornaments,
or a bride her attire?
Yet my people have forgotten me for days without number.
Jeremiah 2.33: 33 How well you prepare your way to seek love!
Therefore you have even taught the wicked women your ways.
Jeremiah 2.34: 34 Also the blood of the souls of the innocent poor is found in your skirts.
You didn’t find them breaking in,
but it is because of all these things.
Jeremiah 2.35: 35 “Yet you said, ‘I am innocent.
Surely his anger has turned away from me.’
“Behold, I will judge you,
because you say, ‘I have not sinned.’
Jeremiah 2.36: 36 Why do you go about so much to change your ways?
You will be ashamed of Egypt also,
as you were ashamed of Assyria.
Jeremiah 2.37: 37 You will also leave that place with your hands on your head;
for Yahweh has rejected those in whom you trust,
and you won’t prosper with them.
Jeremiah 18.0:
Jeremiah 18.1: 18The word which came to Jeremiah from Yahweh, saying,
Jeremiah 18.2: 2 “Arise, and go down to the potter’s house, and there I will cause you to hear my words.”
Jeremiah 18.3: 3 Then I went down to the potter’s house, and behold, he was making something on the wheels.
Jeremiah 18.4: 4 When the vessel that he made of the clay was marred in the hand of the potter, he made it again another vessel, as seemed good to the potter to make it.
Jeremiah 18.5: 5 Then Yahweh’s word came to me, saying,
Jeremiah 18.6: 6 “House of Israel, can’t I do with you as this potter?” says Yahweh. “Behold, as the clay in the potter’s hand, so are you in my hand, house of Israel.
Jeremiah 18.7: 7 At the instant I speak concerning a nation, and concerning a kingdom, to pluck up and to break down and to destroy it;
Jeremiah 18.8: 8 if that nation, concerning which I have spoken, turns from their evil, I will repent of the evil that I thought to do to them.
Jeremiah 18.9: 9 At the instant I speak concerning a nation, and concerning a kingdom, to build and to plant it;
Jeremiah 18.10: 10 if they do that which is evil in my sight, that they not obey my voice, then I will repent of the good with which I said I would benefit them.
Jeremiah 18.11: 11 “Now therefore, speak to the men of Judah, and to the inhabitants of Jerusalem, saying, ‘Yahweh says: “Behold, I frame evil against you, and devise a plan against you. Everyone return from his evil way now, and amend your ways and your doings.”’
Jeremiah 18.12: 12 But they say, ‘It is in vain; for we will walk after our own plans, and we will each follow the stubbornness of his evil heart.’”
Jeremiah 18.13: 13 Therefore Yahweh says:
“Ask now among the nations,
‘Who has heard such things?’
The virgin of Israel has done a very horrible thing.
Jeremiah 18.14: 14 Will the snow of Lebanon fail from the rock of the field?
Will the cold waters that flow down from afar be dried up?
Jeremiah 18.15: 15 For my people have forgotten me.
They have burned incense to false gods.
They have been made to stumble in their ways,
in the ancient paths,
to walk in byways, in a way not built up,
Jeremiah 18.16: 16 to make their land an astonishment,
and a perpetual hissing.
Everyone who passes by it will be astonished,
and shake his head.
Jeremiah 18.17: 17 I will scatter them as with an east wind before the enemy.
I will show them the back, and not the face,
in the day of their calamity.
Jeremiah 18.18: 18 Then they said, “Come! Let’s devise plans against Jeremiah; for the law won’t perish from the priest, nor counsel from the wise, nor the word from the prophet. Come, and let’s strike him with the tongue, and let’s not give heed to any of his words.”
Jeremiah 18.19: 19 Give heed to me, Yahweh,
and listen to the voice of those who contend with me.
Jeremiah 18.20: 20 Should evil be recompensed for good?
For they have dug a pit for my soul.
Remember how I stood before you to speak good for them,
to turn away your wrath from them.
Jeremiah 18.21: 21 Therefore deliver up their children to the famine,
and give them over to the power of the sword.
Let their wives become childless and widows.
Let their men be killed
and their young men struck by the sword in battle.
Jeremiah 18.22: 22 Let a cry be heard from their houses
when you bring a troop suddenly on them;
for they have dug a pit to take me
and hidden snares for my feet.
Jeremiah 18.23: 23 Yet, Yahweh, you know all their counsel against me to kill me.
Don’t forgive their iniquity.
Don’t blot out their sin from your sight,
Let them be overthrown before you.
Deal with them in the time of your anger.
Ezekiel 33.0:
Ezekiel 33.1: 33Yahweh’s word came to me, saying,
Ezekiel 33.2: 2 “Son of man, speak to the children of your people, and tell them, ‘When I bring the sword on a land, and the people of the land take a man from among them, and set him for their watchman;
Ezekiel 33.3: 3 if, when he sees the sword come on the land, he blows the trumpet, and warns the people;
Ezekiel 33.4: 4 then whoever hears the sound of the trumpet, and doesn’t heed the warning, if the sword comes, and takes him away, his blood will be on his own head.
Ezekiel 33.5: 5 He heard the sound of the trumpet, and didn’t take warning. His blood will be on him; whereas if he had heeded the warning, he would have delivered his soul.
Ezekiel 33.6: 6 But if the watchman sees the sword come, and doesn’t blow the trumpet, and the people aren’t warned, and the sword comes, and takes any person from among them; he is taken away in his iniquity, but his blood I will require at the watchman’s hand.’
Ezekiel 33.7: 7 “So you, son of man: I have set you a watchman to the house of Israel. Therefore hear the word from my mouth, and give them warnings from me.
Ezekiel 33.8: 8 When I tell the wicked, ‘O wicked man, you will surely die,’ and you don’t speak to warn the wicked from his way; that wicked man will die in his iniquity, but I will require his blood at your hand.
Ezekiel 33.9: 9 Nevertheless, if you warn the wicked of his way to turn from it, and he doesn’t turn from his way; he will die in his iniquity, but you have delivered your soul.
Ezekiel 33.10: 10 “You, son of man, tell the house of Israel: ‘You say this, “Our transgressions and our sins are on us, and we pine away in them. How then can we live?”’
Ezekiel 33.11: 11 Tell them, ‘“As I live,” says the Lord Yahweh, “I have no pleasure in the death of the wicked; but that the wicked turn from his way and live. Turn, turn from your evil ways! For why will you die, house of Israel?”’
Ezekiel 33.12: 12 “You, son of man, tell the children of your people, ‘The righteousness of the righteous will not deliver him in the day of his disobedience. And as for the wickedness of the wicked, he will not fall by it in the day that he turns from his wickedness; neither will he who is righteous be able to live by it in the day that he sins.
Ezekiel 33.13: 13 When I tell the righteous that he will surely live; if he trusts in his righteousness, and commits iniquity, none of his righteous deeds will be remembered; but he will die in his iniquity that he has committed.
Ezekiel 33.14: 14 Again, when I say to the wicked, “You will surely die;” if he turns from his sin, and does that which is lawful and right;
Ezekiel 33.15: 15 if the wicked restore the pledge, give again that which he had taken by robbery, walk in the statutes of life, committing no iniquity; he will surely live. He will not die.
Ezekiel 33.16: 16 None of his sins that he has committed will be remembered against him. He has done that which is lawful and right. He will surely live.
Ezekiel 33.17: 17 “‘Yet the children of your people say, “The way of the Lord is not fair;” but as for them, their way is not fair.
Ezekiel 33.18: 18 When the righteous turns from his righteousness, and commits iniquity, he will even die therein.
Ezekiel 33.19: 19 When the wicked turns from his wickedness, and does that which is lawful and right, he will live by it.
Ezekiel 33.20: 20 Yet you say, “The way of the Lord is not fair.” House of Israel, I will judge every one of you after his ways.’”
Ezekiel 33.21: 21 In the twelfth year of our captivity, in the tenth month, in the fifth day of the month, one who had escaped out of Jerusalem came to me, saying, “The city has been defeated!”
Ezekiel 33.22: 22 Now Yahweh’s hand had been on me in the evening, before he who had escaped came; and he had opened my mouth, until he came to me in the morning; and my mouth was opened, and I was no longer mute.
Ezekiel 33.23: 23 Yahweh’s word came to me, saying,
Ezekiel 33.24: 24 “Son of man, those who inhabit the waste places in the land of Israel speak, saying, ‘Abraham was one, and he inherited the land; but we are many. The land is given us for inheritance.’
Ezekiel 33.25: 25 Therefore tell them, ‘The Lord Yahweh says: “You eat with the blood, and lift up your eyes to your idols, and shed blood. So should you possess the land?
Ezekiel 33.26: 26 You stand on your sword, you work abomination, and every one of you defiles his neighbor’s wife. So should you possess the land?”’
Ezekiel 33.27: 27 “You shall tell them, ‘The Lord Yahweh says: “As I live, surely those who are in the waste places will fall by the sword. I will give he who is in the open field to the animals to be devoured; and those who are in the strongholds and in the caves will die of the pestilence.
Ezekiel 33.28: 28 I will make the land a desolation and an astonishment. The pride of her power will cease. The mountains of Israel will be desolate, so that no one will pass through.
Ezekiel 33.29: 29 Then they will know that I am Yahweh, when I have made the land a desolation and an astonishment, because of all their abominations which they have committed.”’
Ezekiel 33.30: 30 “As for you, son of man, the children of your people talk about you by the walls and in the doors of the houses, and speak to one another, everyone to his brother, saying, ‘Please come and hear what the word is that comes out from Yahweh.’
Ezekiel 33.31: 31 They come to you as the people come, and they sit before you as my people, and they hear your words, but don’t do them; for with their mouth they show much love, but their heart goes after their gain.
Ezekiel 33.32: 32 Behold, you are to them as a very lovely song of one who has a pleasant voice, and can play well on an instrument; for they hear your words, but they don’t do them.
Ezekiel 33.33: 33 “When this comes to pass—behold, it comes—then they will know that a prophet has been among them.”

Mark 6.0:
Mark 6.1: 6He went out from there. He came into his own country, and his disciples followed him.
Mark 6.2: 2 When the Sabbath had come, he began to teach in the synagogue, and many hearing him were astonished, saying, “Where did this man get these things?” and, “What is the wisdom that is given to this man, that such mighty works come about by his hands?
Mark 6.3: 3 Isn’t this the carpenter, the son of Mary, and brother of James, Joses, Judah, and Simon? Aren’t his sisters here with us?” They were offended at him.
Mark 6.4: 4 Jesus said to them, “A prophet is not without honor, except in his own country, and among his own relatives, and in his own house.”
Mark 6.5: 5 He could do no mighty work there, except that he laid his hands on a few sick people, and healed them.
Mark 6.6: 6 He marveled because of their unbelief.
He went around the villages teaching.
Mark 6.7: 7 He called to himself the twelve, and began to send them out two by two; and he gave them authority over the unclean spirits.
Mark 6.8: 8 He commanded them that they should take nothing for their journey, except a staff only: no bread, no wallet, no money in their purse,
Mark 6.9: 9 but to wear sandals, and not put on two tunics.
Mark 6.10: 10 He said to them, “Wherever you enter into a house, stay there until you depart from there.
Mark 6.11: 11 Whoever will not receive you nor hear you, as you depart from there, shake off the dust that is under your feet for a testimony against them. Assuredly, I tell you, it will be more tolerable for Sodom and Gomorrah in the day of judgment than for that city!”
Mark 6.12: 12 They went out and preached that people should repent.
Mark 6.13: 13 They cast out many demons, and anointed many with oil who were sick, and healed them.
Mark 6.14: 14 King Herod heard this, for his name had become known, and he said, “John the Baptizer has risen from the dead, and therefore these powers are at work in him.”
Mark 6.15: 15 But others said, “He is Elijah.” Others said, “He is a prophet, or like one of the prophets.”
Mark 6.16: 16 But Herod, when he heard this, said, “This is John, whom I beheaded. He has risen from the dead.”
Mark 6.17: 17 For Herod himself had sent out and arrested John, and bound him in prison for the sake of Herodias, his brother Philip’s wife, for he had married her.
Mark 6.18: 18 For John said to Herod, “It is not lawful for you to have your brother’s wife.”
Mark 6.19: 19 Herodias set herself against him, and desired to kill him, but she couldn’t,
Mark 6.20: 20 for Herod feared John, knowing that he was a righteous and holy man, and kept him safe. When he heard him, he did many things, and he heard him gladly.
Mark 6.21: 21 Then a convenient day came, that Herod on his birthday made a supper for his nobles, the high officers, and the chief men of Galilee.
Mark 6.22: 22 When the daughter of Herodias herself came in and danced, she pleased Herod and those sitting with him. The king said to the young lady, “Ask me whatever you want, and I will give it to you.”
Mark 6.23: 23 He swore to her, “Whatever you shall ask of me, I will give you, up to half of my kingdom.”
Mark 6.24: 24 She went out, and said to her mother, “What shall I ask?”
She said, “The head of John the Baptizer.”
Mark 6.25: 25 She came in immediately with haste to the king, and asked, “I want you to give me right now the head of John the Baptizer on a platter.”
Mark 6.26: 26 The king was exceedingly sorry, but for the sake of his oaths, and of his dinner guests, he didn’t wish to refuse her.
Mark 6.27: 27 Immediately the king sent out a soldier of his guard, and commanded to bring John’s head, and he went and beheaded him in the prison,
Mark 6.28: 28 and brought his head on a platter, and gave it to the young lady; and the young lady gave it to her mother.
Mark 6.29: 29 When his disciples heard this, they came and took up his corpse, and laid it in a tomb.
Mark 6.30: 30 The apostles gathered themselves together to Jesus, and they told him all things, whatever they had done, and whatever they had taught.
Mark 6.31: 31 He said to them, “You come apart into a deserted place, and rest awhile.” For there were many coming and going, and they had no leisure so much as to eat.
Mark 6.32: 32 They went away in the boat to a deserted place by themselves.
Mark 6.33: 33 They1 saw them going, and many recognized him and ran there on foot from all the cities. They arrived before them and came together to him.
Mark 6.34: 34 Jesus came out, saw a great multitude, and he had compassion on them, because they were like sheep without a shepherd, and he began to teach them many things.
Mark 6.35: 35 When it was late in the day, his disciples came to him, and said, “This place is deserted, and it is late in the day.
Mark 6.36: 36 Send them away, that they may go into the surrounding country and villages, and buy themselves bread, for they have nothing to eat.”
Mark 6.37: 37 But he answered them, “You give them something to eat.”
They asked him, “Shall we go and buy two hundred denarii2 worth of bread, and give them something to eat?”
Mark 6.38: 38 He said to them, “How many loaves do you have? Go see.”
When they knew, they said, “Five, and two fish.”
Mark 6.39: 39 He commanded them that everyone should sit down in groups on the green grass.
Mark 6.40: 40 They sat down in ranks, by hundreds and by fifties.
Mark 6.41: 41 He took the five loaves and the two fish, and looking up to heaven, he blessed and broke the loaves, and he gave to his disciples to set before them, and he divided the two fish among them all.
Mark 6.42: 42 They all ate, and were filled.
Mark 6.43: 43 They took up twelve baskets full of broken pieces and also of the fish.
Mark 6.44: 44 Those who ate the loaves were3 five thousand men.
Mark 6.45: 45 Immediately he made his disciples get into the boat, and to go ahead to the other side, to Bethsaida, while he himself sent the multitude away.
Mark 6.46: 46 After he had taken leave of them, he went up the mountain to pray.
Mark 6.47: 47 When evening had come, the boat was in the middle of the sea, and he was alone on the land.
Mark 6.48: 48 Seeing them distressed in rowing, for the wind was contrary to them, about the fourth watch of the night he came to them, walking on the sea, a and he would have passed by them,
Mark 6.49: 49 but they, when they saw him walking on the sea, supposed that it was a ghost, and cried out;
Mark 6.50: 50 for they all saw him, and were troubled. But he immediately spoke with them, and said to them, “Cheer up! It is I!4 Don’t be afraid.”
Mark 6.51: 51 He got into the boat with them; and the wind ceased, and they were very amazed among themselves, and marveled;
Mark 6.52: 52 for they hadn’t understood about the loaves, but their hearts were hardened.
Mark 6.53: 53 When they had crossed over, they came to land at Gennesaret, and moored to the shore.
Mark 6.54: 54 When they had come out of the boat, immediately the people recognized him,
Mark 6.55: 55 and ran around that whole region, and began to bring those who were sick, on their mats, to where they heard he was.
Mark 6.56: 56 Wherever he entered, into villages, or into cities, or into the country, they laid the sick in the marketplaces, and begged him that they might just touch the fringe5 of his garment; and as many as touched him were made well.
Mark 12.0:
Mark 12.1: 12He began to speak to them in parables. “A man planted a vineyard, put a hedge around it, dug a pit for the wine press, built a tower, rented it out to a farmer, and went into another country.
Mark 12.2: 2 When it was time, he sent a servant to the farmer to get from the farmer his share of the fruit of the vineyard.
Mark 12.3: 3 They took him, beat him, and sent him away empty.
Mark 12.4: 4 Again, he sent another servant to them; and they threw stones at him, wounded him in the head, and sent him away shamefully treated.
Mark 12.5: 5 Again he sent another; and they killed him; and many others, beating some, and killing some.
Mark 12.6: 6 Therefore still having one, his beloved son, he sent him last to them, saying, ‘They will respect my son.’
Mark 12.7: 7 But those farmers said among themselves, ‘This is the heir. Come, let’s kill him, and the inheritance will be ours.’
Mark 12.8: 8 They took him, killed him, and cast him out of the vineyard.
Mark 12.9: 9 What therefore will the lord of the vineyard do? He will come and destroy the farmers, and will give the vineyard to others.
Mark 12.10: 10 Haven’t you even read this Scripture:
‘The stone which the builders rejected
was made the head of the corner.
Mark 12.11: 11 This was from the Lord.
It is marvelous in our eyes’?”a
Mark 12.12: 12 They tried to seize him, but they feared the multitude; for they perceived that he spoke the parable against them. They left him, and went away.
Mark 12.13: 13 They sent some of the Pharisees and the Herodians to him, that they might trap him with words.
Mark 12.14: 14 When they had come, they asked him, “Teacher, we know that you are honest, and don’t defer to anyone; for you aren’t partial to anyone, but truly teach the way of God. Is it lawful to pay taxes to Caesar, or not?
Mark 12.15: 15 Shall we give, or shall we not give?”
But he, knowing their hypocrisy, said to them, “Why do you test me? Bring me a denarius, that I may see it.”
Mark 12.16: 16 They brought it.
He said to them, “Whose is this image and inscription?”
They said to him, “Caesar’s.”
Mark 12.17: 17 Jesus answered them, “Render to Caesar the things that are Caesar’s, and to God the things that are God’s.”
They marveled greatly at him.
Mark 12.18: 18 Some Sadducees, who say that there is no resurrection, came to him. They asked him, saying,
Mark 12.19: 19 “Teacher, Moses wrote to us, ‘If a man’s brother dies, and leaves a wife behind him, and leaves no children, that his brother should take his wife, and raise up offspring for his brother.’
Mark 12.20: 20 There were seven brothers. The first took a wife, and dying left no offspring.
Mark 12.21: 21 The second took her, and died, leaving no children behind him. The third likewise;
Mark 12.22: 22 and the seven took her and left no children. Last of all the woman also died.
Mark 12.23: 23 In the resurrection, when they rise, whose wife will she be of them? For the seven had her as a wife.”
Mark 12.24: 24 Jesus answered them, “Isn’t this because you are mistaken, not knowing the Scriptures, nor the power of God?
Mark 12.25: 25 For when they will rise from the dead, they neither marry, nor are given in marriage, but are like angels in heaven.
Mark 12.26: 26 But about the dead, that they are raised; haven’t you read in the book of Moses, about the Bush, how God spoke to him, saying, ‘I am the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob’?b
Mark 12.27: 27 He is not the God of the dead, but of the living. You are therefore badly mistaken.”
Mark 12.28: 28 One of the scribes came, and heard them questioning together, and knowing that he had answered them well, asked him, “Which commandment is the greatest of all?”
Mark 12.29: 29 Jesus answered, “The greatest is, ‘Hear, Israel, the Lord our God, the Lord is one:
Mark 12.30: 30 you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind, and with all your strength.’c This is the first commandment.
Mark 12.31: 31 The second is like this, ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’d There is no other commandment greater than these.”
Mark 12.32: 32 The scribe said to him, “Truly, teacher, you have said well that he is one, and there is none other but he,
Mark 12.33: 33 and to love him with all the heart, and with all the understanding, with all the soul, and with all the strength, and to love his neighbor as himself, is more important than all whole burnt offerings and sacrifices.”
Mark 12.34: 34 When Jesus saw that he answered wisely, he said to him, “You are not far from God’s Kingdom.”
No one dared ask him any question after that.
Mark 12.35: 35 Jesus responded, as he taught in the temple, “How is it that the scribes say that the Christ is the son of David?
Mark 12.36: 36 For David himself said in the Holy Spirit,
‘The Lord said to my Lord,
“Sit at my right hand,
until I make your enemies the footstool of your feet.”’e
Mark 12.37: 37 Therefore David himself calls him Lord, so how can he be his son?”
The common people heard him gladly.
Mark 12.38: 38 In his teaching he said to them, “Beware of the scribes, who like to walk in long robes, and to get greetings in the marketplaces,
Mark 12.39: 39 and the best seats in the synagogues, and the best places at feasts:
Mark 12.40: 40 those who devour widows’ houses, and for a pretense make long prayers. These will receive greater condemnation.”
Mark 12.41: 41 Jesus sat down opposite the treasury, and saw how the multitude cast money into the treasury. Many who were rich cast in much.
Mark 12.42: 42 A poor widow came, and she cast in two small brass coins,1 which equal a quadrans coin.2
Mark 12.43: 43 He called his disciples to himself, and said to them, “Most certainly I tell you, this poor widow gave more than all those who are giving into the treasury,
Mark 12.44: 44 for they all gave out of their abundance, but she, out of her poverty, gave all that she had to live on.”
Mark 15.0:
Mark 15.1: 15Immediately in the morning the chief priests, with the elders and scribes, and the whole council, held a consultation, bound Jesus, carried him away, and delivered him up to Pilate.
Mark 15.2: 2 Pilate asked him, “Are you the King of the Jews?”
He answered, “So you say.”
Mark 15.3: 3 The chief priests accused him of many things.
Mark 15.4: 4 Pilate again asked him, “Have you no answer? See how many things they testify against you!”
Mark 15.5: 5 But Jesus made no further answer, so that Pilate marveled.
Mark 15.6: 6 Now at the feast he used to release to them one prisoner, whom they asked of him.
Mark 15.7: 7 There was one called Barabbas, bound with his fellow insurgents, men who in the insurrection had committed murder.
Mark 15.8: 8 The multitude, crying aloud, began to ask him to do as he always did for them.
Mark 15.9: 9 Pilate answered them, saying, “Do you want me to release to you the King of the Jews?”
Mark 15.10: 10 For he perceived that for envy the chief priests had delivered him up.
Mark 15.11: 11 But the chief priests stirred up the multitude, that he should release Barabbas to them instead.
Mark 15.12: 12 Pilate again asked them, “What then should I do to him whom you call the King of the Jews?”
Mark 15.13: 13 They cried out again, “Crucify him!”
Mark 15.14: 14 Pilate said to them, “Why, what evil has he done?”
But they cried out exceedingly, “Crucify him!”
Mark 15.15: 15 Pilate, wishing to please the multitude, released Barabbas to them, and handed over Jesus, when he had flogged him, to be crucified.
Mark 15.16: 16 The soldiers led him away within the court, which is the Praetorium; and they called together the whole cohort.
Mark 15.17: 17 They clothed him with purple, and weaving a crown of thorns, they put it on him.
Mark 15.18: 18 They began to salute him, “Hail, King of the Jews!”
Mark 15.19: 19 They struck his head with a reed, and spat on him, and bowing their knees, did homage to him.
Mark 15.20: 20 When they had mocked him, they took the purple off him, and put his own garments on him. They led him out to crucify him.
Mark 15.21: 21 They compelled one passing by, coming from the country, Simon of Cyrene, the father of Alexander and Rufus, to go with them, that he might bear his cross.
Mark 15.22: 22 They brought him to the place called Golgotha, which is, being interpreted, “The place of a skull.”
Mark 15.23: 23 They offered him wine mixed with myrrh to drink, but he didn’t take it.
Mark 15.24: 24 Crucifying him, they parted his garments among them, casting lots on them, what each should take.
Mark 15.25: 25 It was the third hour, 1 and they crucified him.
Mark 15.26: 26 The superscription of his accusation was written over him, “THE KING OF THE JEWS.”
Mark 15.27: 27 With him they crucified two robbers; one on his right hand, and one on his left.

They said, “Into John’s baptism.”
Acts 19.4: 4 Paul said, “John indeed baptized with the baptism of repentance, saying to the people that they should believe in the one who would come after him, that is, in Jesus.”

Acts 19.11: 11 God worked special miracles by the hands of Paul,

Acts 19.16: 16 The man in whom the evil spirit was leaped on them, overpowered them, and prevailed against them, so that they fled out of that house naked and wounded.
Acts 19.17: 17 This became known to all, both Jews and Greeks, who lived at Ephesus. Fear fell on them all, and the name of the Lord Jesus was magnified.

Acts 19.19: 19 Many of those who practiced magical arts brought their books together and burned them in the sight of all. They counted their price, and found it to be fifty thousand pieces of silver.1

Acts 19.38: 38 If therefore Demetrius and the craftsmen who are with him have a matter against anyone, the courts are open, and there are proconsuls. Let them press charges against one another.
Acts 19.39: 39 But if you seek anything about other matters, it will be settled in the regular assembly.
Acts 19.40: 40 For indeed we are in danger of being accused concerning today’s riot, there being no cause. Concerning it, we wouldn’t be able to give an account of this commotion.”

2 Corinthians 10.1: 10Now I Paul, myself, entreat you by the humility and gentleness of Christ, I who in your presence am lowly among you, but being absent am bold toward you.
2 Corinthians 10.2: 2 Yes, I beg you that I may not, when present, show courage with the confidence with which I intend to be bold against some, who consider us to be walking according to the flesh.
2 Corinthians 10.3: 3 For though we walk in the flesh, we don’t wage war according to the flesh;
2 Corinthians 10.4: 4 for the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh, but mighty before God to the throwing down of strongholds,
2 Corinthians 10.5: 5 throwing down imaginations and every high thing that is exalted against the knowledge of God and bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ,
2 Corinthians 10.6: 6 and being in readiness to avenge all disobedience when your obedience is made full.
2 Corinthians 10.7: 7 Do you look at things only as they appear in front of your face? If anyone trusts in himself that he is Christ’s, let him consider this again with himself, that even as he is Christ’s, so we also are Christ’s.

2 Corinthians 10.9: 9 that I may not seem as if I desire to terrify you by my letters.
2 Corinthians 10.10: 10 For, “His letters”, they say, “are weighty and strong, but his bodily presence is weak, and his speech is despised.”
2 Corinthians 10.11: 11 Let such a person consider this, that what we are in word by letters when we are absent, such are we also in deed when we are present.

2 Corinthians 10.13: 13 But we will not boast beyond proper limits, but within the boundaries with which God appointed to us, which reach even to you.

2 Corinthians 10.17: 17 But “he who boasts, let him boast in the Lord.”a
2 Corinthians 10.18: 18 For it isn’t he who commends himself who is approved, but whom the Lord commends.
Galatians 2.0:
Galatians 2.1: 2Then after a period of fourteen years I went up again to Jerusalem with Barnabas, taking Titus also with me.
Galatians 2.2: 2 I went up by revelation, and I laid before them the Good News which I preach among the Gentiles, but privately before those who were respected, for fear that I might be running, or had run, in vain.
Galatians 2.3: 3 But not even Titus, who was with me, being a Greek, was compelled to be circumcised.
Galatians 2.4: 4 This was because of the false brothers secretly brought in, who stole in to spy out our liberty which we have in Christ Jesus, that they might bring us into bondage,
Galatians 2.5: 5 to whom we gave no place in the way of subjection, not for an hour, that the truth of the Good News might continue with you.
Galatians 2.6: 6 But from those who were reputed to be important—whatever they were, it makes no difference to me; God doesn’t show partiality to man—they, I say, who were respected imparted nothing to me,
Galatians 2.7: 7 but to the contrary, when they saw that I had been entrusted with the Good News for the uncircumcised, even as Peter with the Good News for the circumcised—
Galatians 2.8: 8 for he who worked through Peter in the apostleship with the circumcised also worked through me with the Gentiles—
Galatians 2.9: 9 and when they perceived the grace that was given to me, James and Cephas and John, those who were reputed to be pillars, gave to Barnabas and me the right hand of fellowship, that we should go to the Gentiles, and they to the circumcision.
Galatians 2.10: 10 They only asked us to remember the poor—which very thing I was also zealous to do.
Galatians 2.11: 11 But when Peter came to Antioch, I resisted him to his face, because he stood condemned.
Galatians 2.12: 12 For before some people came from James, he ate with the Gentiles. But when they came, he drew back and separated himself, fearing those who were of the circumcision.
Galatians 2.13: 13 And the rest of the Jews joined him in his hypocrisy, so that even Barnabas was carried away with their hypocrisy.
Galatians 2.14: 14 But when I saw that they didn’t walk uprightly according to the truth of the Good News, I said to Peter before them all, “If you, being a Jew, live as the Gentiles do, and not as the Jews do, why do you compel the Gentiles to live as the Jews do?
Galatians 2.15: 15 “We, being Jews by nature, and not Gentile sinners,
Galatians 2.16: 16 yet knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law but through faith in Jesus Christ, even we believed in Christ Jesus, that we might be justified by faith in Christ, and not by the works of the law, because no flesh will be justified by the works of the law.
Galatians 2.17: 17 But if while we sought to be justified in Christ, we ourselves also were found sinners, is Christ a servant of sin? Certainly not!
Galatians 2.18: 18 For if I build up again those things which I destroyed, I prove myself a law-breaker.
Galatians 2.19: 19 For I, through the law, died to the law, that I might live to God.
Galatians 2.20: 20 I have been crucified with Christ, and it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me. That life which I now live in the flesh, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself up for me.
Galatians 2.21: 21 I don’t reject the grace of God. For if righteousness is through the law, then Christ died for nothing!”

Ephesians 5.5: 5 Know this for sure, that no sexually immoral person, nor unclean person, nor covetous man, who is an idolater, has any inheritance in the Kingdom of Christ and God.

Ephesians 5.21: 21 subjecting yourselves to one another in the fear of Christ.
Ephesians 5.22: 22 Wives, be subject to your own husbands, as to the Lord.
Ephesians 5.23: 23 For the husband is the head of the wife, as Christ also is the head of the assembly, being himself the savior of the body.
Ephesians 5.24: 24 But as the assembly is subject to Christ, so let the wives also be to their own husbands in everything.

Tobit 4.2: 2 and he said to himself, I have asked for death; why do I not call my son Tobias, that I may explain to him about the money before I die?
Tobit 4.3: 3 And he called him, and said,
“My child, if I die, bury me. Don’t despise your mother. Honor her all the days of your life, and do that which is pleasing to her, and don’t grieve her.
Tobit 4.4: 4 Remember, my child, that she has seen many dangers for you, when you were in her womb. When she is dead, bury her by me in one grave.
Tobit 4.5: 5 My child, be mindful of the Lord our God all your days, and don’t let your will be set to sin and to transgress his commandments: do righteousness all the days of your life, and don’t follow the ways of unrighteousness.
Tobit 4.6: 6 For if you do what is true, your deeds will prosperously succeed for you, and for all those who do righteousness.
Tobit 4.7: 7 Give alms from your possessions. When you give alms, don’t let your eye be envious. Don’t turn away your face from any poor man, and the face of God won’t be turned away from you.
Tobit 4.8: 8 As your possessions are, give alms of it according to your abundance. If you have little, don’t be afraid to give alms according to that little;
Tobit 4.9: 9 for you lay up a good treasure for yourself against the day of necessity;
Tobit 4.10: 10 because alms-giving delivers from death, and doesn’t allow you to come into darkness.
Tobit 4.11: 11 Alms is a good gift in the sight of the Most High for all that give it.
Tobit 4.12: 12 Beware, my child, of all whoredom, and take first a wife of the seed of your fathers. Don’t take a strange wife, who is not of your father’s tribe; for we are the descendants of the prophets. Remember, my child, that Noah, Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, our fathers of old time, all took wives of their kindred, and were blessed in their children, and their seed will inherit the land.
Tobit 4.13: 13 And now, my child, love your kindred, and don’t scorn your kindred and the sons and the daughters of your people in your heart, to take a wife of them; for in scornfulness is destruction and much trouble, and in naughtiness is decay and great lack; for naughtiness is the mother of famine.
Tobit 4.14: 14 Don’t let the wages of any man who works for you wait with you, but give it to him out of hand. If you serve God, you will be rewarded. Take heed to yourself, my child, in all your works, and be discreet in all your behavior.
Tobit 4.15: 15 And what you yourself hate, do to no man. Don’t drink wine to drunkenness, and don’t let drunkenness go with you on your way.
Tobit 4.16: 16 Give of your bread to the hungry, and of your garments to those who are naked. Give alms from all your abundance. Don’t let your eye be envious when you give alms.
Tobit 4.17: 17 Pour out your bread on the burial1 of the just, and give nothing to sinners.
Tobit 4.18: 18 Ask counsel of every man who is wise, and don’t despise any counsel that is profitable.
Tobit 4.19: 19 Bless the Lord your God at all times, and ask of him that your ways may be made straight, and that all your paths and counsels may prosper; for every nation has no counsel; but the Lord himself gives all good things, and he humbles whom he will, as he will. And now, my child, remember my commandments, and let them not be blotted out of your mind.
Tobit 4.20: 20 And now I explain to you about the ten talents of silver, which I left in trust with Gabael the son of Gabrias at Rages of Media.
Tobit 4.21: 21 And fear not, my child, because we are made poor. You have much wealth, if you fear God, and depart from all sin, and do that which is pleasing in his sight.”

Judith 1.1: 1In the twelfth year of the reign of Nebuchadnezzar, who reigned over the Assyrians in Nineveh, the great city, in the days of Arphaxad, who reigned over the Medes in Ecbatana,
Judith 1.2: 2 and built around Ecbatana walls of hewn stones three cubits broad and six cubits long, and made the height of the wall seventy cubits, and its breadth fifty cubits;
Judith 1.3: 3 and set its towers at its gates, one hundred cubits high, and its breadth in the foundation was sixty cubits;
Judith 1.4: 4 and made its gates, even gates that were raised to the height of seventy cubits, and their breadth forty cubits, for his mighty army to go out of, and the setting in array of his footmen—
Judith 1.5: 5 even in those days king Nebuchadnezzar made war with king Arphaxad in the great plain. This plain is on the borders of Ragau.
Judith 1.6: 6 There came to meet him all that lived in the hill country, and all that lived by Euphrates, Tigris, and Hydaspes, and in the plain of Arioch the king of the Elymaeans. Many nations of the sons of Chelod assembled themselves to the battle.
Judith 1.7: 7 And Nebuchadnezzar king of the Assyrians sent to all who lived in Persia, and to all who lived westward, to those who lived in Cilicia, Damascus, Libanus, and Antilibanus, and to all who lived along the sea coast,
Judith 1.8: 8 and to those among the nations that were of Carmel and Gilead, and to the higher Galilee and the great plain of Esdraelon,
Judith 1.9: 9 and to all who were in Samaria and its cities, and beyond Jordan to Jerusalem, Betane, Chellus, Kadesh, the river of Egypt, Tahpanhes, Rameses, and all the land of Goshen,
Judith 1.10: 10 until you come above Tanis and Memphis, and to all that lived in Egypt, until you come to the borders of Ethiopia.
Judith 1.11: 11 All those who lived in all the land made light of the commandment of Nebuchadnezzar king of the Assyrians, and didn’t go with him to the war; for they were not afraid of him, but he was before them as one man. They turned away his messengers from their presence without effect, and with disgrace.
Judith 1.12: 12 And Nebuchadnezzar was exceedingly angry with all this land, and he swore by his throne and kingdom, that he would surely be avenged upon all the coasts of Cilicia, Damascus, and Syria, that he would kill with his sword all the inhabitants of the land of Moab, and the children of Ammon, all Judea, and all that were in Egypt, until you come to the borders of the two seas.
Judith 1.13: 13 And he set the battle in array with his army against king Arphaxad in the seventeenth year; and he prevailed in his battle, and turned to flight all the army of Arphaxad, with all his horses and all his chariots.
Judith 1.14: 14 He became master of his cities, and he came even to Ecbatana, and took the towers, plundered its streets, and turned its beauty into shame.
Judith 1.15: 15 He took Arphaxad in the mountains of Ragau, struck him through with his darts, and utterly destroyed him, to this day.
Judith 1.16: 16 He returned with them to Nineveh, he and all his company of sundry nations, an exceedingly great multitude of men of war, and there he took his ease and banqueted, he and his army, for one hundred twenty days.
